Our Fly Free program aims to help young artists (aged 4 – 18) affected by cancer and other chronic illnesses gain a platform to showcase their work. We celebrate their journeys as artists and survivors to ensure that each and every young artist who participates stands in the spotlight. Aspiring models walk their first runway, singers perform on their first big stage, and artists show their work in galleries.
Fly Free launches our more mature artists into the New York City creative community as budding professionals. We connect them with established artists in their respective disciplines and provide them with information about grants, contests, publishers, and more.
Alumni of our Fly Free program have gone on to release singles, start their own bakeries, and have their art shown at New York’s premier galleries. Most importantly, we believe that access to the arts not only helps a child battle their illness, it also instills a healthy and happy attitude for the future.
While COVID-19 has reduced the current scope of this program, we continue to engage with the art world to expand our options for when life returns to normal.
