Support group creates a comprehensive support system to enhance the lifestyle of caregivers. As a caregiver, it is easy to feel overwhelmed with the amount of information, appointments, and financial burden that comes along with caring for someone with a chronic disease. As physical and mental exhaustion sets in, it is easy to withdraw from friends and family.
A free bird recognizes the need for help and therefore seeks to provide support to the caregivers of children diagnosed with cancer by providing information, resources, and education regarding arts, sports, and nutrition. Past events that AFB support has held include healthy cooking classes providing caregivers with knowledge of the nutritional needs of children battling cancer.
Battling cancer is a tough job, so having a Support Group is a necessity.
